| West Yorkshire Playhouse Access The Playhouse is fully accessible with disabled parking at the front of the building and level access. We have a range of facilities to meet people’s needs including Braille signs and lifts inside the building. Guide dogs and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf are very welcome. To find out more about how West Yorkshire Playhouse aims to provide a Welcome that's available to everyone download Open to Everyone, in pdf or word format, created in association with Mind the Gap theatre company. For security reasons our disabled toilets are now radar locked but you can use your radar key to access them. If you do not have a radar key please ask for a key at Reception. If you or anyone in your party has mobility difficulties, hearing or visual difficulties, vertigo or claustrophobia or will be accompanied by Hearing or Guide Dog, please let the Box Office know and they will try to advise you on seating. Customers with a disability pay the lowest available price in Area B, regardless of where they sit. If you require a companion please request an additional FREE ticket when you book. We’re sorry but these tickets are currently not available to book online so please contact the Box Office on 0113 213 7700, Minicom 0113 213 7299 or email access@wyp.org.uk. We welcome calls from textphone users, please dial 18001 then 0113 213 7700.
Booking in advance is recommended and please remember to tell the Box Office if you require a wheelchair space, an aisle seat or if you want seats for an audio described or captioned performance. This will allow the Box Office to allocate you the most appropriate seat for your needs.
If you are hard of hearing or deaf you can book tickets and get more information about the shows by calling us on our minicom on 0113 213 7299 or faxing us on 0113 213 7210. Both of these numbers are operated by the Box Office so you can contact us from Monday to Saturday between 10am and 8pm or one hour before a Sunday performance. There are induction loops in both theatres. For the loop to work you will need to collect an individual neck loop from Reception or Box Office and turn your hearing aid to T. If your hearing aid doesn’t have a T setting the induction loop will not work. You can receive your brochure on Audio CD, in Large Print and in Braille, email access@wyp.org.uk for your copy. Free cast lists in Large Print and Braille formats and written synopses are also available for most productions, please email access@wyp.org.uk if you would like to recieve one. For further information, to join our access mailing list or if you have any comments or suggestions, please email access@wyp.org.uk. |
